Located approximately 10 miles west of Loveland, the Warrens raise Arabian horses. They have been giving private and semi-private horsemanship instruction to individuals of all ages for over 12 years. The facility also offers boarding and training of horses, as well as leasing of horses.
A Tribute to Ebony Spirit - Our Little “Brave Heart”
It was June 13, 2000. The Bobcat fire west of Masonville, Colorado had been burning for several days. The smell of smoke was permeating everything, and you could see and sense the fear the horses were feeling.
We had evacuated some of our friends, from Masonville, the night before. Their horses were restlessly feeding in our round pen. Ominous black clouds billowed North of our ranch. Knowing that the fire had to cross Hwy 34, and the Big Thompson River, and travel a couple of miles before it reached our place, only slightly eased the looming threat. We already had emergency plans if we, too, needed to evacuate.
